How This Sky Map Is Drawn

This page explains how the sky on this site is made. It covers who writes the guide, how 30 rooms become stars, and why the map is for orientation only. It also shows how each fact is kept, checked and dated, and what happens when sources disagree.

01

Who signs the sky map

The guide is signed by the sky map desk, a collective editorial signature rather than a named writer. The desk is not a company and not a person. This site is not a casino, takes no bets and holds no accounts. No visits to the rooms and no credentials are claimed.

The guide was built so the whole province could be seen together. Ontario's rooms are spread across six regions, from Greater Toronto to the North. On a sky, each room becomes a star and each region a constellation, easier to hold in view. The guide also lets readers check online sites themselves, in three steps, against iGaming Ontario's directory.

How the stars are placed

Each star is one room, and the guide maps 30 of them across six regions. Its position comes from published coordinates. For most racinos, the star uses the racetrack's coordinates. Ten of the mapped rooms sit at or beside a track.

Ten rooms have no published coordinates. Their stars sit on the centre of their town instead. The map is also schematic. The west is compressed, and stars that sit close together are nudged apart.

So read the sky for orientation, not distances. Lines inside a constellation only join its stars. They are not roads, and they do not show a route between rooms. For directions, a real map does that job better.

03

How the facts are kept

Every fact in the guide comes from a named source: venue pages, OLG, the AGCO, iGaming Ontario, or the press. Each one is stored with that source and the date it was checked. The current round of checks was made in October 2026.

Sometimes the published figures do not agree. That happens with some opening hours, some addresses and some slot and table counts. When it does, the guide either leaves the value out or gives both figures, and where the minimum age differs it uses the stricter rule, 19+. Readers are sent to the venue's own page instead, which is the place to confirm anything before a visit.
