A Small Star Beside the Track
Playtime Casino Hanover stands at 275 5th Street, Hanover, ON N4N 3W6. It sits beside Hanover Raceway, a Standardbred harness track at 265 5th St. The Hanover, Bentinck & Brant Agricultural Society runs that track. An $18 million expansion moved the casino into the society's Carriage Hall, at the back of the old facility.
Under Ontario's model, land-based casinos are conducted and managed by OLG, with day-to-day operations contracted to private service providers. Here that provider is Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited, under its Playtime brand. In this guide's night sky, Hanover is one star in the Southwest constellation. It is also one of ten mapped rooms that sit at or beside a horse racing track.
