The site was once Rideau Carleton Raceway, which opened in 1962 as Canada's first five-eighths mile harness racing oval. The casino here used to carry the name Rideau Carleton Casino. On the floor and around it
- Slots: over 1,500 slot machines fill the floor. Electronic table games, digital versions of classic table games, sit alongside them.
- Live tables: there are 40 live-action table games, meaning games run by a human dealer. Blackjack, craps, roulette and baccarat are among them, and baccarat now has a new room of its own.
- High limit: VIP High Limit Gaming covers play at larger stakes. The guide does not list a poker room or a sportsbook here.
- Racing: harness racing at Rideau Carleton Raceway has ended. The 2026 season never started, and the program closed immediately, as announced on April 2, 2026.
- Hotel and shows: the hotel has 150 guest rooms, including 22 suites. Hard Rock LIVE offers flexible seating for up to 1,900, and The Joint hosts performances for 25 to 400 people.
- Bars and loyalty: Council Oak Lounge and the Hard Rock Cafe Center Bar host free live music Friday and Saturday. Unity by Hard Rock is the loyalty card, and Unity Points and Tier Credits are now earned at Ottawa.

Before you go
Everyone on the property must be 19 or older, and that covers the casino, restaurants, hotel and Hard Rock LIVE. Bring valid government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's licence, passport or Ontario Photo Card. Staff must check anyone who appears under 30, and two forms may be requested if you are under 21.
Without a car, a paid shuttle runs to Leitrim Station by day and evening, and to Uplands Station overnight. It costs $5 one-way, or $3.50 with Unity, paid by card, credit or tap only. Two EV charging stations sit in front of the hotel and in the VIP lot.
